What is a public beta?

Normal beta testing rounds usually involve a relatively small number of people testing a product in the final stages of development. The group of beta testers is almost always known, and represents a cross-section of our users.
In contrast, a public beta is released to the world. Anyone that wishes to test the software can. Instead of testing the software in the "lab", a public beta allows users to test in the "field".
Why do a public beta?

Aladdin Systems has endeavored to test on as many different Macintosh configurations as possible. However, the sample group that we tested with can never approach the diversity of the Macintosh User population.
This is where the public beta comes in. By providing a public beta, we are sure to find any remaining problems that exist in the software and fix them: before you pay for buggy software. It also offers a “sneak preview” of the product.

Although order forms have been installed in this public beta, we WILL NOT be taking orders for this product during this beta test period. If you are interested in purchasing DropStuff with Expander Enhancer, please contact Aladdin Systems after the official release of the software. Please DO NOT call before then.
